Best Paper of Session at 2007 American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery - Continuous Plane Photodisruption - Optimizing the 60 kHz Femtosecond Laser
Will Vision and Laser Centers is pleased to announce that Dr. Will has been recognized with the honor of having his presentation entitled “Continuous Plane Photodisruption – Optimizing the
60 kHz Femtosecond Laser” selected as Best Paper of Session at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) in San Diego, California.Papers are recognized for their scientific merit, innovation and the significance of their contribution to the field of refractive surgery. From the thousands of papers submitted by physicians around the world, only a select number of papers presented at the ASCRS achieve Best Paper
status. This achievement recognizes Dr. Will’s pioneering contributions to the practical application of Femtosecond laser
technology to laser vision correction. Rather than being “point and shoot”, Dr. Will demonstrated that optimization of Femtosecond laser energy and laser spot separation can provide the surgeon and patient with a highly efficient and successful operation. Continuous Plane Photodisruption is the surgical technique developed by Dr. Will that provides the surgeon with the ideal combination of excellent post-operative visual acuities, few intraoperative complications and smooth stromal surfaces for easy tracking and iris registration.
