Most insurance companies do
not cover elective surgeries like LASIK. However if your insurance or
flex-spending plan covers some of your procedure, we will be happy to provide
you with an itemized receipt of your surgery. Since the pre-surgical full exam
is included in the cost of surgery (and no charge if you do not have surgery),
we can neither submit a claim to your insurance for that exam nor can we provide
a receipt for you to submit. Because the pre-surgical exam is designed
specifically for LASIK and not technically considered a comprehensive routine
exam by vision insurance company standards, they will not reimburse you for it.
